This was an interesting project. Just two days after Christmas we received a request to paint a Princess Loft Bed.
We didn't patch any holes or caulk any seams due to the homeowners request except for the one you see in image #6 below in the middle of the front. Since she will want to move the bed someday... Caulking would make that very difficult to do. Funny thing about that photo is thanks to taking it I remembered to touch that up, otherwise it blended quite well with the paint job.
After masking the floor thoroughly, we primed using Killz 2 latex, then painted 2 coats of the white paint, and 2 coats of the pink using Sherwin Williams Pro Classic. A nice hard finish that will hold up and be easy to clean for many years for the lucky 3 year old who got this for a gift. This job took 16 hrs. to complete. After a coupon for a painter for a day the total project for all paint, labor, and materials was $480.00.
Talk about a Custom Paint Job... This shows the everyday variety involved with being a Custom Painting Contractor.
